PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable, when any DE in the middle of an access route breaks down, continuous access to all the DEs other than the DE which has broken down with a simpler configuration. SOLUTION: A storage device includes: a first route formed by serially coupling one of two DE-CM21 and 22 in each DE20 with one of two CE-CM11 and 12 in a CE10: and a second route formed by serially coupling the other of the two DE-CM21 and 22 in the DE20 with the other of the two CE-CM11 and 12 in the CE10, and the sequence of connection of one DE-CM21 or 22 on the first route is the sequence of expansion of the two or more DEs 20, and the sequence of connection of the other DE-CM21 or 22 on the second route is a sequence different from the sequence of expansion of the two or more DEs 20.
