PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server system wherein a P2P relay mode distribution network can be maintained in an appropriate condition, a client device, a program, and an information storage medium. SOLUTION: The server system includes: a reception part receiving information from each node of the distribution network; a transmission part transmitting information to each node; and a node management part performing node management processing. Data of content are distributed sequentially from the head data by a P2P relay mode from a distribution source node of the content to a distribution destination node. The reception part receives reception starting timing specification information of required content in a newly participating node from the newly participating node requiring content distribution. The node management part determines assumed reception starting timing of the required content in the newly participating node based on the reception staring timing specification information, and based on the assumed reception starting timing, retrieves connection destination candidate nodes for the newly participating node among participating modes of the distribution network. The transmission part transmits notification information offering the connection destination candidate nodes as distribution source nodes of the required content to the newly participating node.
