The fountain has a check valve (11) provided at a lower end. A transparent body (1) is mounted on a concrete foundation (2) and made of transparent plastic. The body includes an upper end (9) with an aperture, and a bottom (6) with a hole (7). A pump (8) pumps the water into the body via the hole. A lighting unit amplifies effect in dark. The water runs down closely against an exterior wall in a vertical condition of the fountain. A distance from a basin barrier (5) to the body is approximately 1.5 cm.
