<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat assembly with an elastic torsion spring element causing a restoring torque linearly progressing in a wide angular range as a function of a rotation angle. <P>SOLUTION: In the seat assembly 1 in which supporting members 42 are connected to the outside casing 14 of the elastic torsion spring element 10, and back supports 44 and a seat base 5 are connected to the inside casing 12 of the elastic torsion spring element 10 to permit the inside casing 12 to rotate by an angle ofϕwith respect to the outside casing 14 on a rotating shaft 6 during a swiveling motion of the back supports 44 and the seat base 5, and the deformation of an elastic member 16 arranged between the inside casing 12 and the outside casing 14 makes the elastic member 16 cause the restoring torque acting against a rotation between the outside casing 14 and the inside casing 12, the contact surface 12a of the inside casing 12 and/or the contact surface 14a of the outside casing 14 are formed into a noncircular cross-section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
