PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which has superior low birefringence and aptitude for mass production, and to provide a high-performance polarizing plate and an image display apparatus using the same.

SOLUTION: The optical film is configured with a mixed resin composed of (A) a polypropylene formed by polymerization using a metallocene catalyst and (B) polyisobutylene.
