Dioxazine pigments are made in fine crystalline form by grinding pigment dyestuffs of the dioxazine series with inert salts which are harder than the dioxazine pigment and which can be removed with solvents later and in the presence of solid or liquid, non acid-reacting organic solvents which do not have a solvent action on the salt or on the pigment. Solvents specified include hydrocarbons, halo-hydrocarbons, nitro-hydrocarbons and nitrogen bases. The pigments colour lacquers, resins, polymers, rubber, viscose and cellulose esters, paper and textiles. |
