Provided is a light-emitting material that, when included in a light-emitting layer in a light-emitting element, increases the life of said light-emitting element. Said light-emitting material satisfies relation (1) and is provided with conjugate macromolecules that have conjugation sites and a blue luminescent compound that has blue-light-emitting sites. (1) y = log10(5.1x 0.2 + 1) In formula (1), y represents the amount of light emitted by the blue luminescent compound as a fraction of the total amount of light emitted by the conjugate macromolecules and the blue luminescent compound in the light-emitting material when excited by 370 nm light. Also, x is calculated as (e2/e1)·P2, where e1 and e2 are the gram extinction coefficients of the conjugated macromolecules and the blue luminescent compound in the light-emitting material, respectively, and P2 is the amount (mass parts) of the blue luminescent compound in the light-emitting material, letting the total amount of the conjugated macromolecules and the blue luminescent compound in the light-emitting material be 100 mass parts.
