Electrically heated honeycomb and method for its operation

The electrically heated honeycomb body (1) has hollow chambers with a power distribution structure (2), where the current distribution structure is connected with a current source by a power supply line (3). The components have a power supply line and the power distribution structure has a control element (4) made of a material with positive temperature coefficient (PTC), which is brought in thermal contact with a fluid flowing through the honeycomb body. An independent claim is also included for a method for the operation of a fluid flow.
