Apparatus 10 for storing a flash memory data storage device (which may be a USB memory stick 12) comprises: a body 14 defining a housing 16 for receiving the memory device, and a tether 20 attaching the memory device to the body. The tether is configured to allow the memory device to be removed from the housing and used in a conventional way (for example, plugged in to a USB port to retrieve stored data or save new data) whilst attached to the body via the tether. The tether may have a length which is adjustable from a first or retracted configuration to a second or extended configuration. The body may comprise two parts couples via a hinge with the parts moveable between an open and a closed configuration. The first part may define a recess for receiving the memory device, and the second part may comprise a cover for the recess. |
