PURPOSE: A blank holding device and method using a magnetic force and a manufacturing method for the blank holding device are provided to prevent damage to the top surface of a blank due to frictional heat by holding the blank using a magnetic force in the process of press forming. CONSTITUTION: A blank holding device comprises a molding plate(310), an electromagnet(320), a power supply(340), and a switch(350). The molding plate comprises a molding cavity(311) for press forming. The electromagnet is inserted inside the molding plate and generates a magnetic force. The power supply supplies electric power to the electromagnet so that a blank is held on the molding plate by the magnetic force. The switch switches on/off of the power supply.
