<p>Disclosed is an aseptic package which comprises: a) a sterilised food product, and b) a sterilised pouch in which the sterilised food product is disposed, the sterilised pouch comprising a coextruded multilayer film comprising i) a core layer comprising ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer; ii) two intermediate layers each comprising polyamide (such as nylon 6, or a blend of an amorphous polyamide having a glass transition temperature of at least 80°C, and a semicrystalline polyamide); iii) a first outer layer comprising amorphous cyclic olefin copolymer (such as an ethylene norbornene copolymer); iv) a second outer layer comprising amorphous cyclic olefin copolymer or olefinic copolymer; and v) two tie layers each adhering an intermediate layer to a respective outer layer.</p> |
