PURPOSE: An apparatus for horizontally moving a movable crane for a ship is provided to horizontally move a crane by uniformly maintaining a distance between a rack gear and a pinion gear. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for horizontally moving a movable crane for a ship comprises a rail, a rack gear(2), a guide roller(3), a winch, and a pinion gear(5). The rail is fixed to a hull. The rack gear is fixed to the top surface of the rail. The guide roller is in contact with the rear surface of the rack gear and is rotatably fixed to the other end of a distance adjusting carrier(7). The winch is fixed to a crane(100). The pinion gear is in gear with the rack gear and is horizontally moved along the rack gear.
