<p>A mounting device for installing a track for a curtain or blind, the mounting device including: a mounting portion (19); an engagement portion (18) for cooperation with a corresponding engagement portion on the track by means of a snap-type engagement; and a resiliently deformable release means for releasing the engagement portion from the corresponding engagement portion on the track. The release means includes a tongue portion (29) having at least part of the engagement portion formed thereon, and has a free end (29a) arranged to be positioned in a cavity of the track when the engagement portions are fully mutually engaged and a connected end (29b) connected to the mounting portion and arranged to be positioned externally of the cavity of the track when the engagement portions are fully mutually engaged. The tongue portion further includes an abutment face (33a) disposed for assisting with prising apart the mounting device and the track with a tool by turning the tool, simultaneous with the operation of the tool against the tongue portion to disengage the engagement portion from the snap fit with the track. The abutment face is opposed to and spaced from the track in use when the engagement portions are fully mutually engaged.</p> |
