Provided are a functional composite yarn comprising short and long fibers, which has functional advantages, for example, having soft glossiness, showing little fluffing, having a high water absorption rate and good tension and drape, showing little tangles or knotting in the production process and having a soft texture, and a textile product using the same which has further functional advantages, in addition to the aforesaid functional advantages of the functional composite yarn, for example, having good pilling resistance, scarcely running obliquely in the production process and showing little fuzz ball formation. The functional composite yarn comprising short and long fibers is composed of a core part and a sheath part coating the same, wherein said core part comprises a lame yarn (1), said sheath part comprises short fibers, and said short fibers in the sheath part consist of a short fiber group A (2) located almost parallel to the lame yarn (1) and a bundling short fiber group B (3) for bundling together said short fiber group (A) and the lame yarn, with the entire composite yarn being substantially uncovered.
