<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal ring which can be easily set to a shaft groove and a housing with reduced sliding wear, and can maintain close fitting with the inner peripheral surface of the housing in a no-load state where no hydraulic pressure is generated, and a sealing device. <P>SOLUTION: The seal ring to be set to the shaft groove formed on the outer peripheral surface of a shaft relatively moving to the housing includes a resin ring disposed on the outer periphery side and having an abutment joint; and a coil expander disposed on the inner periphery side of the resin ring. An inclined surface having an inclination of 45-75° is provided on the inner periphery side of a pressure receiving side surface of the resin ring so that the axial width is reduced toward the inner peripheral surface. The outer diameter of the coil expander in a free state where the abutment joint is closed is set to be 0.92-0.98 when the outer diameter of the resin ring in a state where the abutment joint is closed is taken as 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
