<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for treating wastewater, which can reduce energy required for decomposition of collected magnetic flocs, in the wastewater treatment apparatus for removing the magnetic flocs formed by adding an inorganic flocculant, magnetic particles, and a high molecular polymer (polymeric flocculant) to wastewater. <P>SOLUTION: Wastewater is treated by adding the inorganic flocculant to the wastewater to form microflocs, adding magnetic microflocs previously produced to this mixture, then combining the microflocs and the magnetic microflocs with the high molecular polymer (polymeric flocculant) to form huge flocs, and separating and collecting the huge flocs by a magnetic separation device 8. Then, the collected huge flocs are decomposed by a hydrothermal reaction, and only the magnetic particles are collected by a magnetic separation device 26 to be reused. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
