PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing nozzle for an escalator which is easy in washing a bottom surface part of a groove of a tread part and a riser part for forming a step of the escalator. SOLUTION: A head part 2 of the washing nozzle 1 for the escalator includes a swelled part 6 loosely insertable into the groove 5a of the riser part 5 of the escalator and a depth control unit 7 for controlling the loosely inserted depth of the swelled part 6 by abutting on a projection strip part 5b for partitioning the groove 5a.
