PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and easy-to-handle screen speaker having reduced thickness and bending rigidity, which exhibits high excitation efficiency, while allowing a simplified winding mechanism. SOLUTION: The screen speaker includes a screen (10) having a suspending mechanism including a horizontally extended holding rod (12a), which is formed at the upper end, and an excitation mechanism (20) attached onto the rear surface of the screen. The excitation mechanism (20) includes: an elongate excitation plate (24) having a horizontal width close to that of the screen (10) and attached onto the upper rear surface of the screen (10); one or a plurality of actuators (23a, 23b) attached onto the rear surface of the center part in the horizontal width direction in the excitation plate (24); and an actuator holding mechanism (25) for holding the one or a plurality of actuators at the holding rod (12a) of the suspending mechanism.
