<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably prevent temperature irregularities in an electrooptical device such as a liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: The electrooptical device has: an electrooptical panel (100) having a display part (10a) for displaying images; and holding members (620, 630) for at least partially covering the electrooptical panel and holding the display part so as to expose the display part from opening parts (625, 635). The opening part in the holding member has a first side positioned at an upstream side of cooling wind, and a second side opposed to the first side and positioned at a downstream side of the cooling wind more than the first side.
