REFLECTIVE COLOR FILTER AND DISPLAY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflective color filter and a display device including the same.

SOLUTION: The reflective color filter includes a transparent substrate, a photonic crystal layer including a plurality of photonic crystal patterns formed on the transparent substrate and a light energy conversion element facing the photonic crystal patterns via the transparent substrate. The reflective display device includes a liquid crystal layer having incident light transmittance that is electrically controlled, a thin film transistor (TFT)-array layer including a plurality of TFTs for driving the liquid crystal layer according to image information and the reflective color filter adapted to reflect light having a wavelength band corresponding to a photonic band gap among light incident through the liquid crystal layer.
