PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the electric power consumption of a door motor. SOLUTION: A control device 14 as a door control device of an elevator 1 includes a passenger position specifying part 14a for determining whether or not there is a passenger in a predetermined range from a car door 11 provided on a car 10 of the elevator 1. When there is a passenger in the predetermined range from the car door 11, a door closing retaining torque generated by a door motor for driving the car door 11 to maintain the closing state of the car door 11 is increased more than that in the case where there is no passenger in the predetermined range from the car door 11.
