<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine having a maintenance-free filter with which lint is efficiently collected. <P>SOLUTION: The washing machine includes a draining path 33 and a drain valve 26 for discharging washing water from an outlet 32, a circulating pump 28 forming a circulation path 29 for sucking the washing water from the draining path 33 and discharging the washing water to a washing drum 25, and a mesh filter 30 for sticking the lint at a suction opening of the circulation path 29. The circulating pump 28 is operated for a predetermined period of time immediately before a water draining step at washing or rinsing so that the lint adheres to the mesh filter 30, afterwards, the circulating pump 28 is turned off and the drain valve 26 is controlled to open to discharge the lint together with drainage. Thus, the lint is efficiently collected in the draining path 33, and is discharged out of a machine body 21 together with the washing water drained at washing or rinsing, thereby achieving the maintenance-free lint-removal filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
