PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a crankshaft that reliably secures required bond strength, while employing a welding method which employs a projection welding, in order that the crankshaft is further reduced in weight. SOLUTION: Two projection parts 7, 7 projecting from a bonding surface 6a of a counter weight 5, a groove part 8 formed between projection parts 7, 7 adjacent to each other, three projection parts 9, 9, 9 projecting from a bonding surface 6b of a crank arm 4, and two groove parts 10, 10 formed between projection parts 9, 9, 9 adjacent to each other are formed. The method of manufacturing the crankshaft includes a step of performing the projection welding to respective members 4, 5 while press-fitting the projection parts 7, 7 to the groove parts 10, 10 and upsetting an inner wall part 9c to the groove 8, wherein the inner wall part 9c is the projection part 9 other than two outer wall parts 9a, 9b formed on the outermost side; and a step of swaging the respective members 4, 5 by pressing the outer wall parts 9a, 9b toward the projection parts 7, 7 which are adjacent to the outer wall parts, respectively, after the previous step.
