<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit having a new structure and improved reliability, and a display device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight unit includes a light-guide plate, a light-emitting module arranged on at least one side face of the light-guide plate to provide light to the light-guide plate, and a bottom cover for storing the light-guide plate and the light-emitting module.
