PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing ink for a color filter, efficiently producible of the ink for the color filter which hardly causes the adhesion of staining in an ink passage of a liquid droplet discharge apparatus used for the production of the color filter, clogging in a droplet discharge head, etc., can stably discharge liquid droplets over a long period of time, effectively prevents the generation of color unevenness and irregular concentration, can be used to stably manufacture the color filter with a small characteristics difference between individuals.

SOLUTION: The method for producing the ink for the color filter used for the production of the color filter by an inkjet system includes a pigment dispersion preparing process for obtaining a pigment dispersion in which a pigment disperses to a solvent, and a deposition process for depositing the pigment partially dispersed in the solvent in the pigment dispersion.
