PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device and a camera system in which high frame rate imaging performance is prevented from deteriorating and a high quality image is obtained. SOLUTION: Pixel drive parts 120 to 150 control an electronic shutter operation of a pixel array part 110 and a pixel operation to perform reading through control lines. A sensor control device 190 supplies addresses for specifying respective pixel parts arranged in predetermined rows and columns, as well as electronic shutters and reading control signals for pixels corresponding to the addresses. The pixel drive parts include a selection decoder 130 for decoding the addresses specifying the pixel parts arranged in the predetermined rows and columns supplied from the sensor control device. The selection decoder has a function of extending the addresses supplied from the sensor control device and controlling the number of addresses supplied to pixels in one horizontal period so that it is equal in one vertical period.
