PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensory test device and a sensory test method, which can set an optimum pass/fail determination criterion with the small number of learning samples. SOLUTION: By learning a boundary of a pass/fail determination that is to be a pass/fail determination criterion using initial samples distributed in a Mahalanobis distance from a center of a feature space, learning can be conducted using only initial samples near the boundary. Thus, an optimum pass/fail determination criterion can be set even though the number of learning samples is small. When learning is conducted using pseudo samples, by weighting pseudo samples determined erroneously, a determination of the pseudo samples determined erroneously can be conducted again in a mechanical determination step without adding new pseudo samples.
