PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve gear for an internal combustion engine in which a vane actuator can be fixed to an outer camshaft and an inner camshaft with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The variable valve gear has a structure in which a vane 30 of a vane actuator 25 is fixed to the inner camshaft 17b by a first bolt member 39a screwed from an opposite side of a camshaft 14 of the actuator toward a center of the camshaft, and similarly, a vane housing 27 is fixed to the outer camshaft 17a by a second bolt member 39b screwed from the opposite side of the camshaft of the actuator into a portion apart from the center of the camshaft. In the structure, merely by simple work of screwing the first bolt member and the second bolt member from the opposite side of the camshaft, the vane actuator 25 is fixed to both the outer camshaft and the inner camshaft.
