PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin selection device certainly selecting a coin having non-magnetism and high electroconductivity at low cost, and to provide a coin selection device certainly selecting a coin which has the non-magnetism and the high electroconductivity and which has milling on the peripheral face at low cost. SOLUTION: The coin selection device generates an eddy current inside a coin moving through a movement passage by a magnetic body disposed beside the movement passage of the coin to generate magnetic force in a repelling direction to the magnetic body. The magnetic body is turned in the same direction by the magnetic force in the opposite direction, so that the coin selection device makes a movement guide rail enter the movement passage interlockingly with the turn. A current coin rolls on the movement guide rail, and is received as the current coin. Because the repelling magnetic force is not generated in a false coin or the like not having the high electroconductivity, the movement guide rail does not enter the movement passage, so that the false coin cannot roll on the movement guide rail to be selected.
