PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biomass treatment system overcoming the drawbacks of insufficient monosaccharification in a solid acid catalytic reaction or deterioration and inactivation of a solid acid catalyst. SOLUTION: The biomass treatment system includes: a pressurized hot water reactor to produce polysaccharides by passing pressurized hot water through biomass in a reaction vessel to hydrolyze the biomass; and a solid acid catalytic reactor to produce monosaccharides from the polysaccharides using a solid acid catalyst; wherein the solid acid catalytic reactor includes a control unit for setting solid acid catalytic decomposition conditions according to the hydrolysis conditions for the pressurized hot water reactor.
