<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door closer device for a vehicle, wherein an electric motor can be reduced in size, which enables reduction in size on the whole and improvement in layout properties. <P>SOLUTION: A latch mechanism has a latch and a ratchet for holding the latch at a half latch position and a full latch position. A closer mechanism 8 has a moving pulley 23 which can move closer to/away from the latch mechanism, a closer cable 5 whose one end is linked to a motor 4 with a speed reducer, and a cable hook 24 for fixing the other end of the closer cable 5 arranged through the moving pulley 23. A cancel mechanism 10 has a cancel lever 43 provided so as to be engageable and disengageable to the cable hook 24, a pole lever 44 capable of releasing an engaging state of the ratchet to the latch, and a handle link 45 operated based on the opening operation of a slide door.
