PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device, capable of converting vibration energy of a mass body absorbed by a damping mechanism into electric energy for effective use as electric resources. SOLUTION: The vibration control device 1 includes the mass body 2 disposed separately from a vibration control object, a support mechanism 3 which supports the mass body 2 so as to be relatively displaceable to the vibration control object X, and the damping mechanism 4 which attenuates the relative displacement of the mass body 2 and the vibration control object X. The damping mechanism 4 includes a fixed portion 40 fixed to the mass body 2, a second fixed portion 41 fixed to the vibration control object X, and a damping body 42 interposed between the first fixed portion 40 and the second fixed portion 41. The damping body 42 includes a flexible dielectric substrate which deforms with expansion/contraction according to the relative displacement of the mass body 2 and the vibration control object X, and a pair of electrodes laminated respectively on both surfaces of the dielectric substrate, and the damping body has power generating property of generating electric energy from the pair of electrodes by the expansion/contraction deformation of the dielectric substrate.
