FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: method is based on the change in colour of an indicator after coming into contact with a sample of the analysed petrol, wherein the indictor used is a water-alcohol solution taken in ratio 1:1 with concentration of bromophenol blue of 0.5-0.25 wt %, which is used to saturate a solid carrier, and held at room temperature until completely drying. Before getting into contact with the sample of the analysed petrol, the solid carrier saturated with the indicator solution is immersed into 0.01-0.02 mol/dm3 hydrochloric acid solution until a yellow colour appears, and after the solid carrier saturated with indicator solution comes into contact with the sample of the analysed petrol, presence of monomethylaniline is indicated by change of colour from yellow through green to violet blue, and the amount of monomethylaniline is determined from a calibration colour scale. ^ EFFECT: high reliability and faster analysis. ^ 3 cl, 2 tbl |
