PURPOSE: A method and device of encoding/decoding an image are provided to encode/decode an image with a high compression rate by increasing the height of an accuracy rate of a prediction. CONSTITUTION: An expected direction is used in decoding a current block among a first direction, a second direction and a bidirectional direction. Information about pixel values of a current block and information about prediction direction(1610). Based on information about the decoded prediction direction, the expected direction of the current block is determined(1620). At least one movement vector for performing prediction of the determined expected direction is determined. A current block is restored based on information about one movement vector and decoded pixel values for predicting the determined expected direction(1630). |
