<p>The device (10) has a camera (12) e.g. time-of-flight (TOF) camera, before which a user produces signals by engagement of certain positions. An evaluation system (14) evaluates the produced signals. A contact area (16) e.g. organic LED (OLED)-panel, is arranged before the camera such that the user engages the positions at a side of the contact area, where the side is faced away from the camera. A diffuser (34) with a through-opening (42) is arranged between a transparent plate (32) and an illumination device (36).
