<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurization apparatus for liquid hydrocarbons able to prevent invasion of hydrogen contaminated in the liquid hydrocarbons to a flow meter and safely control hydrogen contaminated in the liquid hydrocarbons, and a fuel cell system equipped with the same. <P>SOLUTION: The desulfurization apparatus 1 is equipped with a desulfurizer 2 for desulfurizing the liquid hydrocarbons, a storage tank 3 storing the liquid hydrocarbons after desulfurization and connected to the downstream of the same and a pump 4 connected to the storage tank. In the apparatus 1, a feed position F of the liquid hydrocarbon after the desulfurization from the desulfurizer 2 to the storage tank 3 is located above a suction port SC connected to the pump 4 and the storage tank 3 is equipped with a hydrogen recovery means 5 for recovering hydrogen contaminated in the liquid hydrocarbons after the desulfurization.
