PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically adjust parameters which are used to calculate a final character evaluated value from two kinds of character recognition results of a composite similarity recognizing method and a structure feature matching method without any human intervention. SOLUTION: A character evaluated value on which the frequency (appearance rate) of a character is reflected is determined by using statistic information on zip code data gathered at a sectioning machine installed station. Parameter adjustments for character evaluated value determination which were manually made before are automatically made by using the statistic information. |
