The present invention pertains to a method for retrieving at least one optical signal transmitted over a communication network by a transmission channel, said method using coherent detection and comprising the following steps:
- a coherent mixing of at least one transmitted optical signal and a baseline signal emitted by at least one frequency-tunable local oscillator,
- a sampling of the signals derived from the coherent mixing, comprising an analog-digital conversion,
- a digital signal processing,
wherein the digital signal processing comprises a spectrum analysis function.
