<p>A method for securing an MPLS frame for transmission over a network, the MPLS frame including an MPLS header and an MPLS payload. The method includes receiving the MPLS frame from a source and determining whether the MPLS frame meets security criteria. If the MPLS frame meets the security critera the MPLS payload is secured and a secured MPLS frame is created. The secured MPLS frame includes the MPLS header and the secured MPLS payload. The secured MPLS frame is then forwarded.</p> |
