The unit includes a gear box supporting element (6) made up of metal, where the element is aligned at a gear box flange (4). Another unit is provided for compensating tolerances of angular offset between the sump and the element. The element is firmly connected with the gear box flange, the sump and the engine block by a tensioning unit.
