The device comprises a set of black and white CCD cameras in a row, black and white distance-recording and control cameras, a colour display camera, a photometric reference unit, a spectral sensor and a scanning system which are strategically situated and interconnected and can be used to dynamically measure the amount and distribution of polychromatic light. The device has a compact design which makes it possible to measure the amount and distribution of light on large remote surfaces (large field) in a variable environment.
