The present invention relates to the use of carbon materials as an inertant for treating at least one component of a hydraulic composition including at least one air-entraining agent. Said component includes the carbon materials of an additive including at least one polymer including at least one chain having hydrophobic end groups and a hydrophilic intermediate group between the end groups. The additive is suitable for at least partially neutralizing the carbon materials.
