<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device, which improves the uniformity of a toner layer on a developing roller without increasing the pressing force of a toner layer regulating blade and is excellent in capacity to equalize the toner layer which is transported to a developing region under a low stress. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: an electrode member 6 which is opposed to the developing roller 3 in a position downstream of the toner layer regulating blade 5 in the toner transport direction of the developing roller 3 and upstream of the developing region in the toner transport direction of the developing roller 3; and a power supply part 9 which applies a voltage having AC components between the electrode member 6 and the developing roller 3. The gap between the electrode member 6 and the developing roller 3 in a position where they are opposed to each other is set larger than the gap between the toner layer regulating blade 5 and the developing roller 3 in a position where they are opposed to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
