<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive optical sensor capable of detecting the density of color toner even when the density of the color toner is high and accurately detecting the adhesion position of the color toner, and to provide an image forming apparatus provided with the optical sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A reflection-type photosensor 70 as the optical sensor includes: a light-emitting part 77 emitting light toward the surface 29a of a conveying belt 29 to which the color toner is made to adhere; and a light-receiving part 78 receiving the light regularly reflected by the surface 29a. The light-emitting part 77 is provided with a light-emitting diode 71 emitting ultraviolet light, and the light-receiving part 78 is provided with a photodiode 72 outputting a signal corresponding to the quantity of received ultraviolet light. The ultraviolet light has low reflectance in the color toner, thereby: making smaller the quantity of the light reflected by the color toner; and preventing the light regularly reflected by the color toner from being received by the light-receiving part 78. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
