<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a deterioration in the mounting accuracy of components associated with the rotational deflection of a holder of a suction nozzle or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A component mounting apparatus includes: a holder for holding a component; a rotating mechanism for rotating the holder; and a mover for moving the holder between the position for holding the component and the position for mounting the component. When mounting the component that is held by the holder by rotating it by a set angle, the deflection amount of the holding position of the component associated with the rotational deflection of the holder is a core deflection amount. The component is held by the holder at the position where the holder is rotated to the reverse direction by the set angle from the reference angle with the known core deflection amount.
