PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray material that is quick setting sprayed concrete with a low water-cement ratio using much water reducer, the concrete exhibiting high flowability and still having material separation resistance and achieving good pump force-feeding property, the concrete sprayed while being mixed with a quick-setting agent, exhibiting enhanced crack resistance immediately after construction even if an amount of use of fiber is reduced compared with a conventional case in which polymer fiber is used, and to provide a spray method. SOLUTION: (1) The crack suppression type spray material is quick-setting sprayed concrete containing: cement; aggregate; water; a fibrilated polymer fiber; and a quick-setting agent, wherein the fibrilated polymer fiber has a fiber length of 4 to 40 mm, and a ratio of the fibrilated polymer fiber to 1 m<SP>3</SP>of the concrete other than the quick-setting agent is 0.001 to 2 vol.%. (2) The crack suppression type spray material (1) contains a water reducer. (3) The crack suppression type spray material (1) or (2) has slump flow of the concrete excluding the quick-setting agent of 40 to 65 cm. (4) The spray method is characterized in that, in any of the crack suppression type spray materials (1) to (3), the concrete other than the quick-setting agent is press-fed by a spraying machine, and the quick-setting agent is jointly mixed in the process of the spray.
