PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture data appreciation apparatus that facilitates user-friendliness, and with which a life can be more enriched. SOLUTION: A plurality of broadcast programs of selectable television stations are received concurrently, and regardless of whether to become an object to be played back, even if the respective broadcast programs temporally overlap with one another, the plurality of broadcast programs are recorded in parallel from the start of broadcasting to the end, and the recording of the respective broadcast programs is held until at least the end of broadcasting. A broadcast program that has been already started at a time point of recording start is excluded from an object to be recorded. A broadcast program that cannot be recorded until the end of the program is also excluded from an object to be held. A playback starting operation target program is held until at least the end of playback. A recording instructing operation target program is held from the start of the program until the end.
