PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting apparatus and a sort program, allowing classification of a sender. SOLUTION: This sorting apparatus receives image data obtained by optically reading a card sent to recipient from the sender. The sorting apparatus analyzes the received image data. The sorting apparatus calculates a ratio of colors included in the image data. The sorting apparatus classifies the sender of the card in each pattern of the calculated ratio of the colors. For example, the sorting apparatus calculates a black ratio at which a black color occupies the colors of the image data and an extra-black ratio at which colors except the black color occupies the colors.
