A Metallic tube ( 3 ) coated with photovoltaic concentrator cells ( 15 ) on the lateral surface and in the zone where we have the linear-focus during the daytime sunshine, {while the remaining surface of the tube (3) (not covered by concentrator cell arrays area) is possibly coated with black color or black nickel or black titanium making it selective for absorbing heat}, it is closed on both ends with welded bottoms ( 8 ) and each bottom has one welded tube (1/2 " or 3/4 " in diameter) as inlet (10) and outlet (14) respectively. A liquid circulates in the collector's (1) tube (3) for cooling the cells, and so we achieve Electric Energy production (17) in parallel with hot water (or liquid) Thermal Energy production. (Fig. 1) The metallic tube (3) coated with photovoltaic concentrator cells (15) maybe inside another glass-tube (9) of larger by 2 - 3 cm diameter and shorter in length, appropriately sealed at its edges (4), for holding high vacuum. The edges are insulated (11 )and covered by protective shells (12). The tube (3) is fixed at the center of a semi-cylindrical paraboloid stable mirror (13) and we produce higher Electric Power (17) per m2 of photoboltaic surface and in parallel we produce Thermal Energy for use as: hot water, domestic, industry air-condition or desalination. |
