摘要 PURPOSE: A location recognition device and method of a robot are provided to extract accurate feature information during location recognition of a robot by changing the color, brightness, or chromaticness of detected ceiling image. CONSTITUTION: A location recognition device of a robot comprises a ceiling region extraction unit(202) and an image conversion unit(203). The ceiling region extraction unit extracts a ceiling region from a detected image using location information of the detected image. The image conversion unit changes at least one of the color, brightness, and chromaticness of the part of the detected image corresponding to the ceiling region.
